Captivating the interest of the nation for eight consecutive years, IJM Land Half Marathon once again brought the nation together recently as they geared to run towards a healthy lifestyle and, at the same time, inspiring Malaysians to lace up and run for a good cause.

IJM Land Half Marathon 2019 proved to be a success with over 10,000 avid participants gathered from all walks of life at Dataran Centrio, Seremban 2 to kick-start this highly-anticipated annual event in IJM Land’s calendar.

“Over the years, this event has garnered more and more participants nationwide and even around the world – making it one of the most sought-after marathons. As reflected in the tagline: ‘Run Together, Bond Stronger’, this exciting adventure brings everyone together as one in support of a positive lifestyle as they create great sporting moments – one of the ways in which IJM Land endeavours to bring everyone who shares the same interests and be able to bond together over a similar passion,” said  Mr Edward Chong, Managing Director of IJM Land Berhad.

Celebrity TV Host and News Presenter, Owen Yap joined in this year’s half marathon to run alongside participants while cheering and motivating them as they took every step towards the finishing line.

IJM Land Half Marathon 2019 included categories of 21KM (Half Marathon) and 12KM for both women and men aged 18 years and above and for girls and boys junior, aged 13 years and above, as well as a 5KM fun run for individuals 18 years and above.

Celebrating the runners’ greatest running moments, IJM Land awarded this year’s fastest man and woman of the 21KM race who came out tops in their respective categories for three years (2019 being its fourth year) with the grand IJM Land Half Marathon Challenge Trophy.

Qualifying participants (who completed the race) regardless of their category took home a finisher medal along with goodie bags. There were also attractive lucky draw prizes worth RM30,000 up for grabs, and runners who completed the 21KM race also received a custom-made Full Sublimation Finisher Tee.

For the fourth year in a row, funds raised from the IJM Land Half Marathon 2019 were channelled towards two charities, namely the Pertubuhan Hospice Negeri Sembilan (Hospice) and Malaysia Lysosomal Diseases Association (MLDA).

IJM Land believes everyone deserves the best without exemption and recognises the crucial roles in which each of these organisations plays, therefore improving lives in the slightest way possible.
