Happy, Healthy And Wise
“You cannot buy your health, you must earn it through healthy living,” said author Dr Joel Fuhrman. Eating wisely, having an active lifestyle and taking care of ourselves are recommended in order to enjoy a full, long life.
IJM Land Pantai Sentral Park, a visionary township located within the 200-acre forest in Bukit Kerinchi gives ample opportunity for future residents to embrace a healthy, balanced lifestyle. The mixed-use development consisting of 7 residential and 6 commercial phases will provide modern facilities and conveniences for some 15,000 residents upon completion within 10 to 15 years. With a township layout that artistically combines man-made greenery and natural beauty, the fully integrated development embraces its core values of People, Planet & Priority.
On 30 September 2017, Pantai Sentral Park organised a Well-Being event for 50 selected guests and media at ICE Gallery. At the show gallery, guests were treated to two workshops by health and well-being specialists and had the opportunity to discover new and healthy practices.
First, Connie Chew, Malaysia’s fermentation queen shared her experiences on the art of fermentation. The chef, who suffers from a rare chronic autoimmune disease, Mysathenia Gravis, discovered a new way of being healthy by consuming live cultured food. Described by author Sandor Katz as “the flavourful space between fresh and rotten”, fermented food contains helpful enzymes, antibiotic and anti-carcinogenic substances that promote growth of healthy bacteria. At her talk, she also showed guests how to prepare sauerkraut, or finely cut cabbage conserved through lacto-fermentation, and if unpasteurized and uncooked, sauerkraut contains live lactobacilli and beneficial microbes and is rich in enzymes.
The event also saw Dr Daniel Tan, the Founder and Clinic Director of Aligned Integrated Healthcare Centre shared the benefits of chiropractic care, the least invasive, most cost-efficient treatment available in the health care industry. The well-known chiropractor and fitness trainer experienced in the Gonstead system shared how back pain effects health, along with its symptoms, natural history and prognosis of previous trauma if left untreated. He also enlightened the audience in the Q&A session, and gave 20 lucky guests a spinal screening at ICE Gallery.
“One of our main objectives at Pantai Sentral Park is to provide opportunities to our residents to lead healthy and wholesome lifestyles. Residents will be able to enjoy spending time with loved ones at the Enchanted Garden, winner of the Asia Pacific Property Awards in 2014 for best Residential Landscape Architecture in Malaysia. They could explore the pathwalk with trellis, children’s playground, tree houses, rock water fountain and topiary garden or take time off with family at Taman Rimba Bukit Kerinchi, located close to Pantai Sentral Park. We aim to give our residents the chance to experience healthier, greener lifestyles with their friends and family,” said Grace Foo, Sales & Marketing Manager of Pantai Sentral Park.
Located next to the Bukit Gasing forest reserve, Inwood Residences is the first of the 58 acre Pantai Sentral Park developments that will be ready in 2018, with Secoya Residences the following year. Situated in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s New Golden Triangle, Pantai Sentral Park is the midpoint to KL Sentral, MidValley City, Bangsar and Petaling Jaya.
