An Engaging Experience At Bön Estates Bloc Party

July 20th, 2017 – Rapid urbanisation means changing dynamics to socio-economic and built environments, but with this, forward-thinking developer Bön Estates Sdn Bhd sees new possibilities, fresh purpose and an opportunity to address updated lifestyle priorities.
In embracing dynamic change, Bön Estates believes it is necessary to adopt an equally dynamic shift in our development outlook – where true value is measured by not just the quality of the property, but also the quality of life it provides.
Driven by a desire to deliver spaces that are meticulously curated to suit lifestyle needs, Bön Estates’ dedication to providing harmony, synergy and sustainability in a living environment has already been exemplified in the success of its flagship project The Estate @ South Bangsar. The promise of a healthy, wholesome and holistic living standard, with spaces that nurture family and community bonds, has struck a resounding chord with upmarket urban buyers seeking a more meaningful lifestyle.
Building on this success, Bön Estates now looks to evolve and expand this ideology with a new endeavour that focuses on bringing its principles of harmony, synergy and sustainability to a younger and more dynamic generation of buyers.
According to managing director Goh Soo Sing, a key part of The Estate’s success lies with the company’s determination to consistently engage and understand its target market, from extensive market studies conducted during the conceptual period to constant interaction via events and workshops in the post launch period.
“People are at the heart of what we do at Bön Estates, and so it makes sense to involve them and make them part of the process. With our next project, we are taking it to a different level, by inviting young buyers to be involved from the very onset, including them in the conceptualisation process so that they have a say in how they want to live in the future,” said Goh.
Creating an exciting atmosphere to drive this effort, Bön Estates has organised its first-ever collaborative development initiative in the form of The Bloc Party. Held from July 21 -23 at Art Printing Works on 29 Jalan Riong in Bangsar, The Bloc Party invites young professionals and first-time home seekers to share their perspectives, aspirations and expectations in a fun-filled food and music festival environment.
The three-day event, which opens from 11am to 9pm daily, provides a platform a new generation of buyers to offer feedback and exchange ideas with the Bon Estates team in an interactive and exciting setting. The aim is garner honest opinions and insightful perspectives that will ultimately shape the company’s latest development initiative in the dynamic Mont Kiara neighbourhood of Kuala Lumpur.
Goh said young professionals represent the lifeblood of a city, as they are vibrant, energetic, active and ambitious. While they strive for success in a fast-paced and intrinsically connected world, but they also yearn for an address that reflects their aspirations and conveniently connects them to their basic needs and wants.
“Bön Estates is sensitive to the fact that population growth, heavy traffic conditions and a highly competitive work climate has changed the way young urbanites interact with their surroundings. There is a danger of losing the human touch, as limited time and loss of mobility could lead to diminished opportunities for meaningful social contact,” said Goh.
At Mont Kiara, he said Bön Estates aims to deliver an address that satisfies the ambitions of a young generation, but in a way that also connects them with their surrounding community in a more personal and meaningful sense.
Envisioned is an exciting new residential concept that cultivates an engaging environment, where a connected and interactive community is crafted with the provision spaces that foster social encounters, build new bonds and encourage the exchange of shared ideas.
The project will be designed as self-sustainable community, where life’s essentials are conveniently provided for within the surrounding ecosystem, so dwellers can use available time to build meaningful relationships with peers and even spend a little life-enriching time on themselves.
Already planned as part of this ecosystem is a joint initiative with EPIC Communities, a community-driven developer that shapes unified communities by creating a cooperative, resilient and sustainable living environment.
Part of this outlook includes the adoption of the “Grow Your Greens” programme at Bön Estates’ latest project, which promotes best practices in waste management and enlightens a community on ways to put waste to good use by turning it into fuel for food source.
The Bloc Party will also feature a Grow Your Greens Exhibition aimed at educating the next generation of urban dwellers about the benefits of simulating an integrated lifestyle of responsible waste management, food consumption and how best to take advantage of a circular economy. Through the exhibition, participants will also experience tangible ways of growing food at their doorsteps so that a more self-sustainable living ideology is achieved.
“The vision for our new project is shaping up nicely, but it is incomplete without one vital ingredient… and that is YOUR vision for a better life,” said Goh, addressing the next generation of buyers.
He said The Bloc Party is much more than a forum for market feedback, it is an invitation to young buyers to be part of the journey to improve living standards and add meaning to lifestyles in the future.
Goh added that the atmosphere created at The Bloc Party itself is purposeful, in that the good food and lively musical environment provided is reflective of the vibrancy envisioned for the upcoming project. Via the provision of a commercial element at their doorstep, residents will enjoy convenient access to chic F&B and retail facilities in an environment that invites the pulse of their urban surroundings in.
“The rules of engagement have changed for the younger generation, but so too must the rules change for developers who wish to engage with this vibrant and dynamic market. This initiative reflects Bön Estates’ honesty of intentions; we believe that if we truly want to build homes that inspire a new generation, then we must engage more intimately with those who will ultimately live in them,” Goh said.
Incentivising young home seekers to participate and express their ideas is a chance to win a trip for two to Bangkok. Also on the cards is a chance to win a home at Bön Estates’ exciting new project in Mont Kiara, which all participants who engage in the survey will be in the running for. More details on this competition will be unveiled in the near future.
“At Bön Estates, we see ourselves as craftsmen, tasked to build a canvas on which your lifestyle aspirations can be fulfilled, but we also believe that we need your input to bring that picture to life,” said Goh.
“At The Bloc Party, we are basically inviting you to inspire us to build a better future for you. We hope a new generation of buyers see this, like we do, as an opportunity to be a part of the change they want to see in their lives,” he added.
