IHH Healthcare Malaysia Launches Mobile Clinic Through Twin Towers Medical Centre to Enhance Healthcare Access for the Industrial Workforce

KUALA LUMPUR, 5 October 2023 – IHH Healthcare Malaysia, through its integrated primary care provider Twin Towers Medical Centre, has launched the Twin Towers Mobile Clinic to bring comprehensive occupational health and safety services directly to industrial workers and transform the landscape of on-site healthcare solutions for the industrial workforce.

The launch was held at Prince Court Medical Centre today with Yang Berhormat Dr. Zaliha Mustafa, Minister of Health Malaysia officiating the ceremony.

With a niche focus on occupational health and safety, Twin Towers Medical Centre has been serving the oil and gas, aviation, corporate and manufacturing industries for 25 years, earning a reputation for delivering high-quality healthcare services.

Yang Berhormat Dr. Zaliha Mustafa, Minister of Health Malaysia, who officiated the launching ceremony today, shared in her speech that innovative initiatives like the Twin Towers Mobile Clinic underscore the urgency of safeguarding the health of the industrial workforce.

Mohd Hareeff bin Muhammed, Head of Ambulatory, Ancillary & Allied Health, IHH Healthcare Malaysia highlighted in his speech that the Twin Towers Mobile Clinic is a game changer, enhancing healthcare accessibility for industrial workers.

Yang Berhormat Dr. Zaliha Mustafa, Minister of Health Malaysia, highlighted, “It is imperative to underscore the pivotal role played by our industrial workers, the driving force behind our nation’s economic progress. Occupational health screenings are vital for early detection and timely intervention for industrial workers who have been constantly exposed to health hazards. We are glad to see innovative initiatives like the Twin Towers Mobile Clinic, which underscores the urgency and relevance of this initiative in safeguarding the health of our workforce”.

Dr Mohd Adam Idris bin Abdul Razakek, Resident Medical Officer of Twin Towers Mobile Clinic, demonstrated a blood pressure test on Yang Berhormat Dr. Zaliha Mustafa, Minister of Health Malaysia, at the dedicated doctor consultation area within the mobile clinic.

The Twin Towers Mobile Clinic is equipped with an X-ray unit, a medical examination bed and a dedicated area for doctor consultation and audiometry testing.

Innovation in Motion: The Twin Towers Mobile Clinic

The Twin Towers Mobile Clinic aims to bridge the accessibility gap in on-site healthcare services, providing comprehensive solutions to assist companies in promptly addressing health-related concerns proactively.

It will be managed by a core team consisting of an occupational health doctor, a nursing team, a radiographer and an administrative assistant, and equipped with an X-ray unit, a medical examination bed and a dedicated area for doctor consultation and audiometry testing.

A wide range of services will be offered, including pre-employment checks, medical surveillance, corporate or preventive health screening, return-to-work assessment and annual audiometry test.

Recognising the importance of flexibility in on-site healthcare services, the Twin Towers Mobile Clinic will be operated at the convenience of clients and can provide services on-demand.
