Huashi China to undertake RM50million worth of construction cost.

KUALA LUMPUR – M101, advocators of property tourism in Malaysia, is pleased to announce the appointment of China Huashi Enterprises Co., Ltd. (China Huashi) as the main contractor for the development of M101 Skywheel. The project has an estimated Gross Development Value (GDV) of RM1.8 billion. M101 Skywheel is headed for completion by 2020.

 

During the signing ceremony, M101 further announced that China Huashi will finance RM50million worth of construction cost. The financing amount undertaken by China Huashi is equivalent to the cost of M101 Skywheel’s substructure.

 

Dato’ Seth Yap, CEO of M101 said, “We are very happy that China Huashi has decided to work with M101 on our flagship project, M101 Skywheel as their entry project into Malaysia. Dato’ Seth Yap elaborated that the M101 was very careful in selecting the right partners to work on Skywheel.  China Huashi has a proven track record of building challenging high-rise structures and buildings such as the Sichuan TV Tower (316 meters), Chengdu Global Center (243 meters), ChingQing YingLi DaPing Commercial Centre (210 meters) and Sichuan Airline International Plaza (204 meters).

Further to this, China Mr Wan Xiaolin, Group Deputy Chief of China Huashi said in his speech, “China Huashi sees M101 Skywheel as a one of a kind project. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for us to be involved in such a high profile and exciting iconic project. Needless to say that we see a lot of potential in Skywheel and we want to thank M101 for the opportunity to be part of the team to build this iconic project.”

“As a testament of our commitment, we will be financing RM50million of the construction cost. Further to this, we have assigned this project to one of our most experience project management team. We will tap into our Company’s experience in careful construction and engineering to deliver a high quality product in a timely manner,” he added.

 

NTERNATIONAL HUB AT M101 SKYWHEEL

Dato’ Seth Yap further said, “M101 is championing property tourism as our core business strategy. Instead of building just another integrated development, we are building a branded development that fits the market’s needs, and further elevate Malaysia’s tourism industry.”

 

“One of our strategies are through partnerships with established international brands for a vertical brand penetration and to bring about an international standard to our developments. Hence, we are working together with brands such as Studio F.A Porsche from Germany, who designed M101 Skywheel, and now we on board a reputable contractor from China to build it,” he said.

 

Upon its completion, M101 Skywheel will be an international tourists’ destination and thus itself is a vertical township. The project will boost a Ferris-wheel positioned on the 52nd floor and at its highest vantage point. It will provide a view from 220m above ground, poised to be a remarkable landmark skyscraper that will further place Malaysia on the map as a top spot region for property and development after the Petronas Twin Towers.

 

M101 Skywheel will also feature the world’s highest shopping experience with a SkyMall that extends from 50th to 52nd level with over 200,000 sqft of retail space, that will offer locals and tourists diverse product offerings and world-class shopping experiences. Further to this, M101 Skywheel will also have the first ever Planet Hollywood Hotel in Asia. As an added convenience, the development will have an MRT station right at the door step of development.
