LBS Honoured Among Malaysia’s Top 10 Developers at PIPDA 2017

LBS Group MD’s Focus On Quality Developments and Community Outreach Results In Personality of the Year and Top 10 Developers Recognition

Petaling Jaya, 8 May 2017 – Home-grown developer, LBS Bina Group Berhad (LBS) continued its award winning streak receiving top honours at the recent Property Insight Prestigious Developer Awards (PIPDA) 2017. LBS Group Managing Director, Tan Sri Lim Hock San, was awarded ‘Personality of the Year’, adding further to the Group’s achievement of being listed among Malaysia’s ‘Top 10 Developers’.

Grateful for the industry recognition, Tan Sri Lim Hock San said, “We are honoured to be recognized for our passion and commitment to the local property industry. For years we have devoted ourselves into providing homebuyers with value and quality developments. This vision of growth has been incorporated in every aspect through the dedication of the team at LBS. This award will continue to push us as a group to excel in meeting the changing needs of homebuyers. This recognition is dedicated to the LBS team, our partners and our customers for their constant support and trust.”

This year, Tan Sri Lim Hock San was honoured with the ‘Personality of the Year’ award following his commitment in the local property sector as the driver of LBS since 1982. The Group itself went on to receive the recognition as one of Malaysia’s Top 10 Developers at PIPDA 2017, a recognition reserved for notable developers.

Going beyond the Group’s responsibility of merely developing houses, LBS firmly believes in its duty to generate sustainable value for homebuyers, its employees, the broader community and the environment. The Group’s long-term efforts to generate value for homebuyers and the broader community include the development of affordable home under the Rumah SelangorKu (RSK) housing scheme and PPA1M (Perumahan Penjawat Awam 1Malaysia) programme. In addition, LBS actively engages communities within its Bandar Saujana Putra (BSP) township during festivities and gotong-royong initiatives, and supports those in need through charitable

contributions to the Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation (KDSF). With regards to its employees, the Group believes in nurturing and retaining talent while promoting a harmonious work place through the creation of channels for communication and interaction. Finally, with regards to the environment, the Group goes the extra mile to incorporate green elements in flagship developments such as D’ Island Residence and Bandar Saujana Putra.

The Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives are driven through the LBS Foundation guided by its aim to improve the quality of life and to benefit the community at large. Its CSR activities are based on four main pillars, namely (education, community, environment, and health). Currently, LBS CSR activities are more focused on education and community, which make up about 85% of the total CSR.

In July 2012, as an acknowledgement of his active involvement in the development of Zhuhai City, China, Tan Sri Lim Hock San was appointed a committee member of the Zhuhai Municipal People’s Political Consultative Conference (Zhuhai CPPCC).

Under the stewardship of Tan Sri Lim, the Group was awarded the ‘Best Company for Leadership of Property Development’ at the 2014 International Alternative Investment Review (IAIR) Awards.

Another exemplary accomplishment of Tan Sri Lim was the conferment of The Brand Laureate Hall of Fame – Lifetime Achievement Brand ICON Leadership Award 2015. Tan Sri Lim was presented the award in recognition of his perseverance through many years, resilience that has withstood the test of time, demonstration of strong leadership, deep industry knowledge and impeccable values of integrity and responsibility through LBS.

In appreciation of his contribution to the lasting relationship between Malaysia and China, Tan Sri Lim was conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award 2015 during the World Chinese Economy Summit 2015 (WCES). The World Economic Summit honours entrepreneurs for their dedication, selfless service and innovative leadership.

LBS marked new milestones in 2016, as the company was awarded the 5 Star Best Development Marketing Malaysia award for its lifestyle-concept development BSP21, and the 5 Star Interior Design Show Home Malaysia award for its Corallia semi-detached homes, at the prestigious Asia Pacific Property Award (APPA) 2016.

LBS also clinched the BrandLaureate Most Valuable Brand Award for Property Industry 2016 award in recognition of its esteemed reputation as a trusted property developer at the BrandLaureate Best Brands Awards 2015 – 2016.
