The Entrepreneur Colosseum (TEC) – Pivoting Dreams, Disrupting Infinity

Negeri Sembilan , 3rd November – Persatuan Usahawan Maju Malaysia (PUMM), or Malaysia Entrepreneurs’ Development Association has launched a major project call The Entrepreneur Colosseum (TEC) that aims to provide a platform for entrepreneurs in Malaysia by giving opportunities and resources to enhance the success rate of entrepreneurship so that great dreams will not be buried.

 

Persatuan Usahawan Maju Malaysia (PUMM) is a multiracial association composed of young entrepreneurs and executives aimed towards helping entrepreneurs, and executives to realise their business ideas. Entrepreneurship plays a critical role in the growth of any society particularly in a fast developing country like Malaysia where there are ample opportunities for innovations to exploit available resources and initiate entrepreneurial ventures. As an successful entrepreneur, we shall not forget to contribute back to the society to create a healthy and sustainable business ecosystem. said Dato’ Tony Looi (President of PUMM).

TEC Organising Chairman Dato’ Sri Alvin Ang said that the key objectives of TEC is to develop and improve young Malaysian entrepreneurial skills. And aim to discover businesses with high potentials, provide them with the right resources and support through this platform.

 

TEC 2017 is officially supported by Advancement of Malaysian Entrepreneurs (SAME) CEO Neil Foo. As the contestants shall be able to get support and assistance by SAME to understand more about benefits and grant available to all Malaysian companies.

The Tag Line for TEC is Pivoting Dreams, Disrupting Infinity. Hot startups are in the news weekly with high valuations exceeding even Fortune 500 companies. Business technology has changed the way companies conduct businesses nowadays. And because of technology, small businesses can now level the playing field with big corporation with right implementation. If one has a dream, the potential is limitless if they are passionate enough to pursue it.

TEC is open to all Malaysian with age above 18 years old or Malaysian own companies of not more than 3 years old in operation. Submission will begin on 7th September 2017 and will be closed on the 15th of November 2017. All contestant are require to record a pitching video not more than 2 mins with a business proposal and there will be no submission fee involve. All submission will be short-listed then proceed to the second round of competition. Then only a RM500 administration fee will be incurred for participants whom are qualified to this stage.

The short-listed participants will go through a series of competitions to be held in 4 regions.

Zone A:Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Kelantan, Terrengganu& Perak

Zone B: Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, NegeriSembilan, Melaka & Pahang Zone

C: Johor

Zone D: Sarawak & Sabah

They will go through a 2 days competition, and only 40 finalists will be selected.

The 40 finalists will all be attending a 3 days 2 nights TEC Bootcamp. In this TEC Bootcamp, The 40 finalists have a chance to meet the top entrepreneurs in Malaysia and maybe to become the mentors for their businesses. This would be the finalists once-in-a-lifetime opportunity as they would not be able to meet these successful entrepreneurs without a platform like TEC nor to say to become their mentor.said Sylvester Fan (TEC Deputy Head of Marketing & Branding).

And the Top 10 Finalists will be selected from TEC Bootcamp to go into the final round to compete for the championship.
