Malaysia Land Properties Sdn Bhd (Mayland) has announced that the Dorsett Waterfront Subang project will be launched on 6 September 2019. The project is a joint development with Dorsett Hospitality International Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Far East Consortium International Limited (FEC).

Situated in close proximity to the group’s renowned 5-star hotel, Dorsett Grand Subang, the development is expected to be met with strong interest given the high-quality amenities and its attractive location.

A first for Mayland, whose projects have always been luxurious high-rise developments in strategic locations, the Dorsett Waterfront Subang is considered a mid-rise development, consisting of three 21-storey blocks housing 1,989 fully-serviced suites under commercial title, on a sprawling 4.5 acres of land.

“While it is no secret that the local property market is facing trying times, prospective buyers have swayed towards the affordable segment with creative products in the commercial sector,” said Dato’ Kevin Woo, Managing Director of Mayland.

“Towards this, I am happy to share that this Development has already secured 350 buyers with accumulative sales worth RM185 million from our preview two months ago. This, together with some 400 existing buyers from when this project first launched 7 years ago will bring us to over 750 bookings to date,” he added.

Nestled between the Hotel and the renowned Subang Jaya Medical Centre, this Development also boasts of concierge services through its pairing with Dorsett Hospitality International Limited.

Woo believes that these elements will be particularly attractive to young professionals and middle managers looking for a first home and to investors looking for a good way to hedge their funds in challenging economic times.

The suites, with most of the units measuring between 399 to 590 sq. ft, are generally made up of studio-type and one-bedroom units, of which 72 per cent have an indicative selling price of below RM600,000.
